Read aloud in your mind was conceived like a reading room. Part of Critical Constellations, the FICA Homepage show in 2019, the installation worked like a small room for deliberation, discussion and sharing of ideas. The walls painted like a blackboard, drawings on graph paper unfolding a story, books on the table and some colouring books & stationery became interactive tools.

The different material on display attempts to subtly de-condition ideas and images normalised by mass media. The interactive material on display questions stereotypes often practiced in the guise of culture and tradition or in the name of development. Reflecting the socio-political scenario through anecdotes and day to day happenings, it compels the viewer/participant to read and re-read, reflect and question rather than simply accept.
